1940 Kalamazoo KHG-12 Gibson Hawaiian!

Exceptionally clean 80+ year old Kalamazoo KHG-12 Hawaiian Flattop Guitar with original case. Made by Gibson in the Kalamazoo factory. Vibrant Sunburst Finish with no fading. Almost no checking. The guitar looks like it was played for a few years and then put away. It's very well-preserved and is fully original except possibly the saddle, one bridge pin and the bridge dots missing. If you like the Waterloo WL-12's/14's, here's a good opportunity to get the real-deal for less money!

The guitar is still in its original Hawaiian setup. It would likely be an easy conversion to Spanish-style with neck reset but we decided to leave it as it is nearly pristine and untouched. This guitar was made in 1940 according to the FON. This is a cool example that has the pointed headstock like the Recording King's but got the Kalamazoo branding which is somewhat more rare.

The guitar is very clean overall. Other than a few very small marks and one scratch on the front as shown in the photos this guitar is close to mint condition. There is a very small pickguard crack and the bridge is coming up slight but still attached well. There are a few scratches here and there, but it's truly an exceptionally clean example. The guitar plays well and has a nice woody sound that you would expect from a well-cared for Prewar Gibson-Made flattop. The guitar comes with the original chipboard case in rough condition.
