1997 Martin 00-45 Stauffer Brazilian Rosewood!

ON-HOLD...Here is a very rare and desirable 1997 Martin Limited Edition Stauffer 00-45 Commemorative guitar. This is not the newer and cheaper anniversary model. This is a 45 style with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. Number 24 of 25 built by Martin. It was made as a commemorative of Martin’s Viennese instructor Johann Stauffer, a master luthier, whom CF Martin apprenticed under. It’s considered to be one of the rarest Martins of the past several decades.

This Martin Stauffer 00-45 has exceptional Brazilian Rosewood sides and back. Along with the premium solid Sitka spruce top, you have the elements of outstanding wood choices for sonic excellence and beauty in an acoustic guitar. This Martin 00-45 has a 39 1/2" total length, a 19 1/2" body length, 14 1/8" body width and a 3 7/8" body depth. It also features a solid Mahogany neck, and 19 fret Ebony fingerboard with 12 frets clear on a 25" scale length. The fingerboard width at the nut is 1-3/4 to 2-1/4 at the 12th fret. This guitar has a nice Ebony fingerboard and bridge, and plays and sounds excellent.

The guitar is in near mint condition with only a few light pick scratches. Also, there are a couple light surface checks that commonly occur with Brazilian rosewood guitars. No cracks through the wood and no repairs anywhere. Collector-owned. Includes the original and unique Martin Coffin Case like the originals back in the mid 19th century. A very unique guitar to commemorate some of Martin’s earliest guitars.
