2018 Gibson 1959 Les Paul Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard!
What a beautiful vintage vibe this Les Paul has! This was one of the specially-ordered 2018 Gibson Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard '59 Les Paul's that was intended for Japan, but Gibson couldn't get the paperwork to export these. It's no wonder this was intended for Japan as the top has mineral streaks, cool color which all adds up to this great vintage vibe. The guitar is in near mint condition with almost no wear to be found. There is one finish mark on the back of the body. It looks like a very slight finish reaction. It was collector-owned and appears to have never been played. Comes with the original hardshell case, COA, case candy and all the paperwork as shown.
The Gibson Custom Shop Historic Series has been getting better and better, getting so close to the great examples of the late 50’s and early 60’s. Hide-glue construction, premium tone woods, more great features. New neck profiles (including an all-new ’59 profile scanned from an original vintage '59) to period correct fretwire. Aniline-dyed 1-piece mahogany backs, historically-accurate deluxe Kluson tuners, and incredible maple tops that make each one unique. The Custom Buckers sound great as usual! The case is the lacquered Lifton-style that is more accurate than years past. Incredible guitar!
