Guild D-55 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1979), made in Westerly, RI, natural lacquer finish, spruce top, rosewood back/sides, ebony fingerboard. This particular guitar is player grade. The guitar plays great and has good action with lots of saddle left for decades of playing. It has no cracks besides a couple of very slight splits on the sides. Absolutely NO top/back cracks whatsoever.
The guitar has a pickup added, and the corner of the headstock has a piece of binding missing. The guitar has been played a ton in it's near 40 years, but should have a lot of use left in it. The frets have some grooves and it's close to needing a refret. You should be able to get away with a fret crown/polish. Great guitar in possibly Guild's best period for guitar-making.
