This is more of a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eplayer-grade example\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, but it's a very original guitar and a really great one to actually play.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt retains the \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eoriginal Tim Shaw humbuckers\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, which sound fantastic, along with the original USA Grover tuners, nickel hardware, black bonnet knobs, and even the original \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePosi-Lock strap buttons\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. All of the important stuff is here.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis guitar has definitely been played over the years. There are marks and general wear throughout, but there is \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003every little fret wear\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, and the original frets have plenty of life left. The one notable issue is a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003erepaired slice in the top near the controls, between the switch and neck pickup volume knob\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. It has been touched up and does not affect anything functionally, but it is definitely there and takes this one down a notch from a collector standpoint.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThere are \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eno headstock breaks or headstock cracks\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, and overall this is a very solid and usable guitar. The neck is actually a little more substantial than many of these early ES-335 Dot Reissues, measuring \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e0.84\" at the first fret and 1.00\" at the 12th fret\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAs a player, this is a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003ereally great guitar\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. Everything works as it should, it plays easily, and the Tim Shaw humbuckers sound excellent.
