This is a special \u003cstrong\u003eCollings D2H MRA\u003c\/strong\u003e dreadnought that combines some of the most desirable traditional acoustic guitar appointments with the exceptional craftsmanship Collings is known for.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe D2H platform is already legendary among serious acoustic players, and this custom example takes things a step further with \u003cstrong\u003eMadagascar Rosewood back and sides, Adirondack Spruce top, herringbone binding, and beautiful diamond and snowflake fingerboard inlays\u003c\/strong\u003e. It is a fantastic combination of classic pre-war inspiration and modern boutique construction.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis guitar has an enormous voice. It is a powerful, resonant dreadnought with the kind of projection and headroom that bluegrass players look for. It remains balanced and musical, but when you dig in, this guitar really opens up. There are no dead notes anywhere on the neck, even when played aggressively.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe setup is very much geared toward bluegrass playing, with excellent playability and a strong, comfortable feel. It plays effortlessly and responds beautifully.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis example was previously owned by \u003cstrong\u003eZac Brown of the Zac Brown Band\u003c\/strong\u003e and comes with excellent provenance, including a \u003cstrong\u003ehand-signed COA from Zac Brown and CME, the retailer that assisted with the sale of his collection\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition is \u003cstrong\u003every good plus overall\u003c\/strong\u003e. It has been played and enjoyed, but it remains a beautiful example. The only things to note are a small ding on the corner of the headstock, a few light surface scratches on the back of the body, and a small finish mark near the bottom of the bridge that appears likely related to a previous bridge reglue.
