1955 Gretsch Duo Jet Black w/ Original Tweed Case!
ON-HOLD... Here is a really great 1955 Gretsch Duo Jet with factory Nitron top. The same material that Gretsch used on their drums at the time. This guitar is nice and original except like many of these early Gretsch guitars, this one was sent back to the factory for a new neck in about 1959 (note the zero fret and thumb print inlays). The guitar was refretted professionally, new bone nut and the guitar had the original tuners put back on. The original frets and nut are included. All matching serial numbers on the back plate and on the label. The guitar comes with the very nice original tweed hardshell case and a bonus bridge which is a big upgrade over the original Melita bridge. Great true 1950's Gretsch Duo Jet that has a great vibe and in very nice condition overall.
