2001 Martin D-45 Golden Era Brazilian RW!
Here is a blue chip guitar for the Martin collector's out there. It may be years before another sunburst one comes up for sale. It's a stunning one-owner 2001 Martin D-45 Golden Era in rare sunburst (shade top). They made less than 10 of them in sunburst during the whole 4-year run of this rare and exclusive model. This is an early example with some beautiful choice woods of the run!
The guitar features a beautiful set of Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Adirondack Spruce top, scalloped Adirondack braces, forward X bracing, ivoroid binding, abalone inlays around the top, back, sides and neck, Style 45 rosette and back stripe, with snowflake inlays. Modified V neck with 1-3/4" nut width and 2-5/16" spacing at the bridge.
The guitar is in excellent condition and was played sparingly by its one and only owner since new. There are just 2-3 light indentations on the top, and some very minimal signs of use over the years including light pickguard scratches and the lightest marks on the back of the neck. Overall the guitar is very clean. The action is excellent with plenty of saddle. The guitar has a beautiful booming sound and is a joy to play!
