This is a really nice playing Alvarez Yairi Jumbo in Black. Signed by Kazuo Yairi. The guitar features some nice fancy specs like abalone around the top and rosette, all black finish with multi-ply bindings. If you are looking for mint, this one isn't for you. The guitar has some play wear and shows scratches all over, but no cracks, repairs or structural issues. The guitar plays exceptionally well and sounds huge! The guitar comes with the original case with similar wear and flimsy but working handle.
This Alvarez Yairi JY-10 is a well crafted made in Japan guitar. Alvarez-Yairi produced this Jumbo between 1994 and 1998. Featuring a solid Spruce top with Maple back and sides. The volume of this instrument makes it ideal for live performance and it can easily cut through an acoustic ensemble.
The body is 17 1/8" on the lower bout and 4 5/8" deep at the endpin. The nut is 1 11/16" and the neck is slim and fast with a C-shaped profile. A very well constructed and excellent sounding instrument.
