Nice clean 2004 Fender John Cruz Masterbuilt 50th Anniversary '54 Stratocaster in 2-tone Sunburst. Comes with 2 cases, framed COA, paperwork, etc. Beautiful example by possibly Fender's best Master Builder. The guitar plays and sounds excellent. The guitar features finish checking and a few small dings but no major wear. Closet Classic. This is the most accurate reproduction to date. Custom wound 1954 pickups with period correct Alnico 3 poles that are slightly wider than later Alnico 5's, providing the most accurate '54 tone available. The "U" profile Maple neck is fretted with vintage-sized frets and radiused to Fender's traditional 7.25" radius. The Custom Shop produced chemically-accurate and lab-tested plastics for the short skirt knobs, rounded-edge pickup covers, and period correct "football" switch tip. The bent-steel Fender-stamped bridge saddles are painstaking reproductions of the originals from 1954. The stunning grain of the Ash body shines through under the accurately mixed and applied Two-Tone Sunburst finish. The serial number was stamped on the real tremolo plate by Roger Centeno using the original die stamp, completing the package on this amazing collector's piece.
