1958 Gibson Custom Shop '58 Les Paul Standard Custom Shop HISTORIC MAKEOVERS BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD Deluxe Package Reissue R8!

Here is a really nice Gibson 1958 Les Paul Reissue that has been professionally upgraded through the Historic Makeovers Deluxe Package, bringing it significantly closer in look, feel, and construction to an authentic late-’50s Burst.

This is a full Historic Makeovers conversion, and it includes a comprehensive list of refinements: a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, corrected nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and both top and neck recarve work to bring the geometry closer to a more period-correct 1959-style profile and carve.

The result is a guitar that feels noticeably more “vintage correct” in the hand, with improved resonance and a more authentic overall Burst-style response.

Visually, this example features a beautiful iced tea sunburst finish over a fairly understated, lightly figured top, paired with a faded red back, giving it a very believable and classic late-’50s aesthetic. The aging work is light and tasteful, allowing the guitar to naturally continue developing character over time.

Overall, this is a very convincing and well-executed makeover that sits in a sweet spot for players who want the vintage feel without the full heavy relic treatment.
