1959 Fender Precision Bass Anodized Gold Guard Sunburst 100% Original Vintage Maple Neck!
Here is a classic 1959 Fender Precision Bass, one of the most desirable vintage basses Fender ever produced. Featuring all the right ingredients—a maple neck, gold anodized aluminum pickguard, three-tone Sunburst finish, and best of all, it's 100% original in every way.
This bass has definitely been played and enjoyed over the years, but it's an incredibly honest example that strikes a great balance between player and collector. It remains 100% original down to the last screw, including the original finish, hardware, electronics, pickup, and even the original frets.
The original frets still have plenty of life left, likely thanks to this bass spending most of its life with flatwound strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod functions properly, and everything works exactly as it should. It plays easily, sounds fantastic, and is ready for many more decades of service.
Cosmetically, it shows the kind of honest wear you'd hope to see on a bass that's been making music for nearly 70 years. There is plenty of finish checking, along with light dings, scratches, and normal playwear throughout. Overall, we'd call it Good Plus to Very Good vintage condition.
Weight-wise, this one feels very balanced and comfortable, making it a bass you could happily play all night.
It comes with a new Fender tweed hardshell case.
