1964 Gibson Hummingbird Vintage Acoustic Guitar w Original Hard Case, Wide Nut!
Here’s a pretty clean 1964 Gibson Hummingbird with the desirable wide 1-11/16" nut width, finished in classic cherry sunburst and complete with the original hardshell case. This one is totally original, including the gold single-line Kluson tuners, original frets in good shape, and the intact adjustable bridge with plenty of room for adjustment both ways.
The finish is 100% original and in excellent overall shape, showing mostly finish checking and very little actual wear. There are no cracks, aside from the very typical small crack just off the treble side of the fingerboard extension, which has not yet been repaired. Structurally solid and very clean for an early-’60s Hummingbird.
Built with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, this guitar plays well and has that dry, woody Hummingbird sound players look for. A great example of a wide-nut early Hummingbird that hasn’t been messed with.
Comes with the original hard case as shown.
