1965 Gibson SG Special Wide Nut Nickel Hardware Les Paul Cherry!
Up for sale is a lightweight 1965 Gibson SG Special in Cherry, complete with its original hardshell case. This one sticks close to the classic 1964 specifications, featuring a wide 1-11/16" nut, nickel hardware, and an older-style neck joint—all hallmarks of the era. The original case is the older-style and even has original store tags intact.
This guitar is 100% original with no issues that you often see on 60+ year-old SG Specials. The neck joint is rock-solid, and there are no repairs or modifications. Naturally, there is some light wear here and there including light dings, scratches, scrapes, etc, but it’s well-preserved for its age and in better-than-typical condition.
Plays effortlessly and sounds fantastic, delivering the classic P-90 tone collectors love. A nice example from the end of Gibson's best era. This guitar is perfect for players, collectors, or anyone looking for a true vintage Gibson in very good plus condition.
