1991 Gibson Montana SJ-200 Jumbo Acoustic Electric Guitar J200 E Sunburst
Here is a really nice early Gibson Montana-built J-200, dating to 1991, from the early years of Gibson's renowned Montana acoustic facility.
These early Montana guitars have developed quite a following over the years, and it's easy to see why. This example has matured nicely and delivers the big, full-bodied sound that has made the J-200 one of Gibson's most iconic acoustic models.
This one is equipped with factory electronics. It has been well maintained over the years and is currently set up with comfortable low action, making it an effortless guitar to play.
Just as importantly, the guitar remains very healthy structurally. There is plenty of saddle remaining, giving it a strong future without any immediate concerns. It has recently been gone through and is ready to be enjoyed for years to come.
Condition is very good overall. There are a few light marks, dings, and signs of normal use, but nothing out of the ordinary for a well-cared-for acoustic of this age. The only noteworthy repair is a small professionally repaired hairline crack located in the armrest area of the top. The crack measured approximately 2½ inches in length and has been properly addressed, leaving the guitar stable and structurally sound.
Overall, it presents beautifully and remains a very attractive example of an early Montana-era J-200.
It comes complete with the original brown Gibson hardshell case.
