All guitars are packed with exceptional care. Let's face it, packages are going to get thrown around and if not properly packed, they will break. We have shipped thousands and thousands of guitars of all values and know the importance of a good job packing.

Insurance:

Please allow 24 hours for your package to acclimate. Not doing so could result in finish cracks. This is especially important in the Winter months.

Return Policy:

48 hour inspection period, buyer pays shipping both ways and must be returned in the same condition as sent, no exceptions. 5% restocking fee to cover costs.

1992 Alembic Essence 4-string Bass Guitar in Transparent Red finish EXCELLENT QUALITY!

Here is a great quality bass from Alembic — the Essence. This is a fantastic example from 1992 and showcases the craftsmanship, playability, and tonal versatility that made Alembic one of the most respected names in high-end bass building.

The Essence features a neck-through construction, providing excellent sustain, resonance, and a very even response across the entire fingerboard. This one has a beautiful flamed maple top with a stunning transparent red finish, giving it a classy and elegant look that really highlights the quality of the woods.

The appointments are exactly what you would expect from Alembic, including brass hardware, Alembic-branded Schaller tuners, active electronics, and an ebony fingerboard. The electronics provide a wide range of tonal options, from warm and smooth to articulate and cutting, making this a very versatile instrument for a variety of styles.

This bass plays exceptionally well with a comfortable neck profile and excellent response. The condition is very good overall with honest signs of use. There are some light marks on the back and one ding on the front of the body between the D and G strings. The bass was clearly played, but nothing beyond what you would expect from a well-cared-for instrument.

It comes complete with a nice padded gig bag.
