1999 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Standard Flametop ala Jimmy Page! 1959 reissue type!

Here is a pretty unique 1999 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Standard Flametop with a look that immediately brings Jimmy Page's famous Les Paul to mind. The top on this guitar is absolutely phenomenal, with a strong vintage-style flame that has character without looking overdone. It's one of those tops that simply looks right.

This appears to have been some type of custom order or special run. It features nearly all of the desirable 1959 Reissue specifications, including a long neck tenon, ABR-1 bridge, '57 Classic humbuckers, Iced Tea Sunburst finish, and amber bonnet knobs. At the same time, it has a few unique touches that set it apart from a standard R9, most notably the factory Grover tuners and a finish that isn't quite as heavily ambered as most Historic reissues from this period. The result is a guitar that blends vintage specifications with a slightly more modern aesthetic.

The condition is Excellent overall. There are just a few light marks that keep it from being minty. On the back you'll find the slightest jean rivet marks, but they're extremely minor. Other than that, it's exceptionally clean and has clearly been very well cared for.

The neck has a wonderfully chunky late-'50s profile, measuring 0.93" at the first fret and 1.03" at the 12th fret, and the guitar has a nice balanced feel despite weighing 9.3 lbs. It plays effortlessly and delivers everything you'd expect from a great late-'90s Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul.

It comes complete with the original textured Gibson Historic hardshell case, along with a large collection of original paperwork and extras as shown.
