2004 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Elegant INSANE QUILT TOP! Peacock Green!
Here is an absolutely stunning 2004 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Elegant in the highly desirable Peacock Green finish with an insane quilt maple top. This is one of those guitars where a pickguard simply doesn't belong—the top is just too spectacular to cover up.
The quilt on this one is absolutely incredible, with deep three-dimensional figuring that seems to move from every angle. We'd call it a 5A quilt, but we'll let you be the judge. Combined with the rich Peacock Green finish, it's one of the most eye-catching Les Paul Elegants we've had.
These Elegant models came loaded with premium features including an ebony fingerboard with beautiful abalone inlays, giving them a more upscale look and feel than a standard Les Paul. At just 7.9 lbs., this one is also nice and lightweight with a great balanced feel.
Condition is Very Good overall. There are light dings and scratches throughout, most notably around the edges of the back of the body, along with some light rubs on the back of the neck and honest playwear from a guitar that was actually enjoyed. With that said, it presents extremely well, and the top is in beautiful condition. Once you see that incredible quilt, it's easy to overlook the normal cosmetic wear.
The frets have plenty of life left, and the guitar plays easily all the way up the neck.
It comes complete with the original Gibson hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity as shown.
