2009 Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Roadshow Strat!
Here is kind of a unique guitar. Fender Custom Shop would send Masterbuilders to have weekend road shows at their dealers to demonstrate to attendees how they make the guitars and other fun activities during the show. You are probably familiar with these shows. Not sure if these shows will be happening anymore...
What makes this particular guitar different is that this was the guitar that was being built over the weekend at this road show in 2009. Dennis Galuszka built this guitar over that roadshow weekend and it was not quite finished all the way. Everything is fully functional and excellent but the neck finish never got applied so it's got a bare wood feel.
The guitar has pretty much all Eric Johnson '57 Stratocaster attributes including the EJ custom pickups, 2-tone sunburst finish, maple neck, etc. The body was signed by Dennis Galuszka when it was completed. It's a really nice guitar that plays and sounds great! The guitar comes with the original hardshell case and a hand-written letter from the shop owner who hosted the roadshow. Really an interesting piece that is one for collectors or players alike!
Weight: 7.3 lbs.
