2009 Gibson Custom Shop Jimmy Page Number Two #2 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue 59 VOS!

Here is a really beautiful Gibson Custom Shop Jimmy Page #2 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue in the classic Page Burst VOS finish. These are much harder to find than the Number One models, with just 325 Number Two guitars produced in total, including only 200 finished to Gibson's VOS specifications.

This is an exceptionally clean, collector-grade example with a great-looking figured maple top and that unmistakable vintage vibe. The VOS finish has some light surface hazing, as expected, but there is virtually no actual wear to speak of. It presents beautifully and is a fantastic example of this special model.

What really sets the Number Two apart is the unique switching system designed around Jimmy Page's own 1959 Les Paul. All four controls are push-pull pots, with two additional switches hidden beneath the pickguard. You get coil splitting, series/parallel switching, and phase options, giving this guitar an incredible range of sounds beyond a typical Les Paul.

This one plays great and sounds excellent. The neck is a little slimmer than many traditional late-'50s profiles, measuring 0.84" at the first fret and 0.89" at the 12th fret, with a 1-11/16" nut width.

It comes complete with the original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case with the Jimmy Page signature logo, COA, and original paperwork, as shown.

Playability & Sound

This is a really great-playing and great-sounding Les Paul with a comfortable, relatively slim neck profile. The combination of the Custom Shop construction and Jimmy Page-spec electronics gives this guitar a tremendous range of tones.

The switching system allows for everything from traditional humbucker sounds to single-coil tones, series/parallel options, and out-of-phase sounds. It's a really versatile setup and one of the things that makes the Number Two model so interesting.

The neck measures 0.84" at the first fret and 0.89" at the 12th fret, with a 1-11/16" nut width. At 9.5 lbs., this is a substantial Les Paul with a classic feel.
