2011 Gibson Custom BB King Lucille Black w Ornate Crown Headstock Inlay!
Here is a really nice 2011 Gibson B.B. King Lucille ES-355, finished in the classic Ebony Black. This is the rarer version featuring the ornate B.B. King crown inlay on the headstock, a detail that sets it apart from the standard production models and gives it an even more elegant appearance.
As you'd expect from a Lucille, this one is loaded with premium appointments including the Varitone switch, dual output jacks, tortoise celluloid pickguard, TP-6 fine-tuning tailpiece with Nashville bridge, Grover tuners, and gold hardware throughout. It's a classy instrument that perfectly captures the look and feel of B.B. King's legendary signature model.
Condition is very good overall. There are a few minor scrapes on the back of the neck that should buff out quite nicely, along with a mark on the back likely from a guitar stand. Other than that, it's a very clean guitar with almost no fret wear, showing it hasn't seen much playing time.
The neck has a comfortable profile, measuring 1-11/16" at the nut, 0.83" at the 1st fret, and 0.98" at the 12th fret, making it easy to play while still feeling substantial in the hand.
At 9 lbs. 2 oz., it has a solid feel with excellent balance. It plays effortlessly and delivers the smooth, articulate semi-hollow tone that has made the Lucille one of Gibson's most iconic signature models. The Varitone switch adds a wide range of tonal options, making this an incredibly versatile guitar.
It comes complete with the original hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity, warranty paperwork, and the original case candy as shown.
