2013 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard BENCHMARK HEAVY AGED 59 Reissue R9!

Here is an absolutely beautiful Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Benchmark Heavy Aged Reissue from 2013. This is a fantastic example from a very desirable era of Gibson Historic production and features an exceptional top, great color, and some of the best aging Gibson was doing before the Murphy Lab era.

The aging on this guitar is truly impressive. Unlike some of the newer Murphy Lab finishes that can continue to change over time, these Benchmark Heavy Aged guitars have a very authentic, established look that should remain consistent for years. This one has an incredible vintage vibe and looks like a guitar that has lived a great life.

The top is the star of the show here, with beautiful figuring and a very convincing late-'50s appearance. The color is equally impressive and really complements the aging package.

This appears to be 100% original and was part of one of Gibson’s more premium Historic series. These were not inexpensive guitars when new, and Gibson really went all out with the specifications. Being a 2013 model, it benefits from many of the important Historic improvements including hide glue construction and more vintage-correct appointments.

The guitar is in excellent condition overall, especially considering it is a Heavy Aged model. There is only light fret wear and very little additional playwear beyond the factory aging. It has clearly been well cared for.

It comes complete with the original hardshell case, COA, and all paperwork as shown.
