Built in the spirit of the legendary pre-war Martin D-28 herringbone dreadnoughts, this Wayne Henderson features Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Adirondack Spruce top, and forward-shifted X bracing. The result is an incredibly powerful, responsive instrument with the warmth, projection, and complexity that serious bluegrass and acoustic players search for.

The traditional appointments are beautifully executed, including herringbone trim, zigzag backstrip, diamond and square fingerboard inlays, grained ivoroid binding, and Waverly tuners. Every detail reflects Henderson’s commitment to recreating the feel and character of the great pre-war dreadnoughts while adding his own exceptional craftsmanship.
