2025 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS 59 R9 Dark Burst!
Here is a beautiful 1959 Les Paul reissue from the Gibson Custom Shop, this one from 2025. This one features a gorgeous Dark Burst-style finish and a really nice top that changes depending on the angle. Some views are more subtle, while others reveal some really nice figuring. It has that natural movement you look for in the original Bursts.
The condition is near mint and this one presents extremely well. We did notice a couple small marks just above the input jack, but nothing significant. Otherwise, it has that clean VOS finish that gives it the feel of a carefully preserved vintage instrument.
The top looks best on the treble side angle. Like the best examples, it doesn't look overly processed — it has a more natural vintage vibe.
The neck has a great 1959-style feel, measuring 0.89" at the 1st fret and 0.99" at the 12th fret. It plays easily, sounds excellent, and is another great example of how close Gibson has gotten with their modern R9 reissues.
It comes complete with all the original case candy including the COA, paperwork, and original hardshell case.

Playability & Sound
This is a fantastic playing R9 with the classic feel these guitars are known for. A great balance of collector appeal and a guitar you can actually enjoy playing.
