2025 Gibson Custom Shop '59 Les Paul Standard Historic Reissue 1959 R9 DOUBLE CREAM Lemon Burst!
Here is an absolute stunner from the Gibson Custom Shop, a 2025 1959 Les Paul Reissue finished in a beautiful Lemon Burst–style VOS finish.
This example features a killer figured maple top with excellent flame, grain, and natural flecking throughout, giving it that highly desirable late-’50s Burst character with plenty of movement under light. The color is spot-on — a classic faded lemon-style Burst aesthetic that really suits the top.
A major highlight here is the set of factory double cream Custombucker pickups, which give this guitar a very authentic vintage look and a strong nod to the most sought-after PAF appearance. The pickup covers are included but were never installed, allowing the guitar to show off the factory double cream bobbins as intended.
Overall condition is minty, with just a couple of small marks on the back, and nothing that takes away from its presentation or collector appeal.
This one comes fully loaded with all original accessories, including the lacquered Lifton-style brown hardshell case, COA, and complete case candy and paperwork as shown.
Playability is effortless, and tonally it delivers exactly what you expect from a high-end Historic — rich sustain, open midrange, and a very classic Burst-style response that feels immediate and dynamic.
At 8.3 lbs, it’s a very comfortable and well-balanced Les Paul.
Neck measurements come in at approximately 0.89” at the 1st fret and 1.00” at the 12th fret, giving it a very comfortable late-’50s profile without being overly large.
