2025 Gibson Custom Shop '59 Les Paul Standard Historic Reissue 1959 R9 DOUBLE CREAM Tea Burst!

Here is a beautiful 2025 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Reissue, and a strong example of where the current Custom Shop line has evolved in terms of feel, accuracy, and overall build quality.

This one features a stunning Royal Ice Tea Burst finish over a killer figured maple top, with excellent flame movement and a very “vintage correct” visual character. It has that desirable late-’50s Burst look with a very natural, understated elegance that really stands out in person.

A key highlight here is the set of factory double cream Custombucker bobbin pickups, giving it that classic, highly sought-after PAF aesthetic. The guitar also includes the original unsoldered pickup covers, which are included in the case should a future owner choose to install them.

Being a very recent Custom Shop build, this one benefits from all of Gibson’s current refinements to the Historic platform — including improved neck feel, carving accuracy, and overall resonance — making it one of the closest modern interpretations yet of the original 1958–1960 Bursts.

Condition is excellent / near mint overall, with the guitar presenting extremely clean and showing only the lightest signs of careful handling, if any.

This is a very strong, well-balanced example that plays effortlessly and delivers exactly what you want from a high-end 1959 reissue: rich sustain, open midrange, and a very dynamic, responsive feel under the fingers.

It comes complete with the original Lifton-style lacquer hardshell case, COA, and all case candy and paperwork as shown.

At 8.8 lbs, it has a solid, resonant feel without being overly heavy.

Neck measurements come in at approximately 0.89” at the 1st fret and 0.99” at the 12th fret, giving it a comfortable late-’50s profile that sits nicely in the hand.
