2026 Rickenbacker 4002 Fireglo ONE-OF-A-KIND Reissue Checkerboard, Ebony Board, Full Inlays, ORIGINAL BIRDSEYE MAPLE WINGS!

Here is a really special Rickenbacker 4002, one of the most exciting modern collector pieces to come from Rickenbacker in years. This example is from the first batch (2 in first batch) of just 15 instruments total to be built, and even more remarkably, it is the only Amber Fireglo example produced, making it the only Fireglo 4002 in existence.

What makes this bass even more special is the wood selection. Rickenbacker used the original Birdseye Maple stock that had been set aside from the original late-1970s and early-1980s production run of the 4002. It's a wonderful tribute to one of the rarest basses the company has ever produced and gives this instrument an authenticity that simply can't be recreated.

This bass is loaded with premium appointments including black checkerboard binding, a beautiful striped ebony fingerboard, full crushed pearl inlays (instead of dot inlays), a five-ply black/white/black/white/black pickguard, the modern V2 tailpiece, and a vintage-style truss rod cover. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, making this an incredible blend of vintage inspiration and modern craftsmanship.

Condition is MINT, with no exceptions. It presents exactly as it left the factory and has clearly been carefully preserved.

It comes complete with the original Rickenbacker hardshell case and accessories, and the matching serial-numbered factory shipping box.

While this bass is certainly a collector's dream, it is also an exceptional player's instrument. It has a comfortable neck profile, outstanding balance, and delivers the unmistakable clarity, punch, and articulation that made the original 4002 one of Rickenbacker's most coveted models.
