1983 Schecter Usa Stratocaster Rare Koa Body With Original Case Amazing Sound!
Here is a really great "Super Strat" from Schecter USA. It carries an S8 serial number, dating it to the early 1980s, which was a fantastic era for Schecter. The body appears to be Hawaiian Koa, giving it a beautiful look while contributing to its lively, resonant sound.
Unlike many Schecters from this period, this does not appear to be a parts guitar. Everything looks right on this one. The neck joint is a nice tight fit, everything is well dialed in, and it's just a great example of what Schecter USA was building during this era.
Condition is very good overall. This is an honest player's guitar with normal signs of use throughout. There are scratches on the back, some finish wear around the edge of the fretboard, and you'll notice the center seam is showing slightly on the front. It is strictly cosmetic and not a structural issue. The tip of the pickguard also has a small crack from the typical shrinkage you see on older pickguards.
The real highlight here is the sound. These pickups are excellent and absolutely nail that vintage Strat vibe. It's one of those guitars that just has "it" when you plug it in. It plays easily, sounds fantastic, and is a wonderful representation of the early Schecter guitars that have become increasingly collectible.
It comes complete with the original Schecter-branded hardshell case, which has one missing latch.
